Open Positions
We have a variety roles from working directly with the youth participants at the Jamboree, to serving in roles behind the scenes that allow us to deliver our program. If you don’t see something of interest, don’t hesitate to reach out to us!
Leadership Heights Program Staff
Did you love serving on NYLT staff? Are you someone who loves running camporee, conclave, or training events? Do you find yourself in leadership roles without realizing it? The Program Team is the place for you! We seek passionate instructors to support Jamboree participants as they test their skills, solve challenges, and hone their vision through Leadership Heights experiences. Scouts and those “recent youth” with experience as leaders in NYLT, the OA, and other leadership roles within and outside Scouting are strongly encouraged to apply.
Leadership Heights Non-Player Character
Leadership Heights NPCs (non-player characters) are the people who bring our Jamboree-wide game to life. NPCs travel around the Summit and share quests, riddles, and clues with Jamboree participants. Participants go on to complete leadership challenges across the Jamboree and solve the mystery of this event-long game. Ideal candidates are excited to interact with Jamboree participants, travel through the Jamboree program area, and love participating in campfire-style programming. If you enjoy a LARP or have invested too many hours into an RPG, this is the role for you!
Leadership Heights Operations Staff
The Operations Staff team members are the behind-the-scenes magicians who make Leadership Heights program experiences possible. These folks work to ensure physical spaces are well-equipped to serve Jamboree participants and fellow Leadership Heights staff. These staffers are super-quartermasters–they make sure the teams have the right equipment, wire up presentations, and troubleshoot technology. Ideal candidates will have good problem-solving skills, stay calm under pressure, and have an eye for detail.
