who we are

Leadership Heights

Leadership Heights at the 2026 National Jamboree is a transformative experience where Scouts embark on a journey of self-discovery and empowerment. This innovative program integrates hands-on activities and collaborative challenges that inspire Scouts to push their boundaries and redefine their potential as leaders.

Through an engaging speaker series and immersive experiences, participants will cultivate essential skills such as effective communication, critical thinking, and ethical decision-making, all while building lifelong friendships. As Scouts rise above their personal goals, they will lead beyond their units, equipped to inspire change and foster a spirit of service that echoes far beyond the Summit Bechtel Reserve.

About the National Jamboree

The BSA National Jamboree is a gathering, or jamboree, of thousands of members of the Boy Scouts of America, usually held every four years and organized by the National Council of the Boy Scouts of America. Referred to as “the Jamboree”, “Jambo”, or NSJ, Scouts from all over the nation and world have the opportunity to attend.

They are considered to be one of several unique experiences that the Boy Scouts of America offers. The first jamboree was scheduled to be held in 1935 in Washington, D.C. to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Scouting, but was delayed two years after being cancelled due to a polio outbreak. Today, the National Jamboree is held at the Summit Bechtel Reserve, in West Virginia.
